Network

This page guides you to log detailed network configurations and specifications. This serves as a repository for technical details, aiding in configuration management and security oversight.

Networks are integrated automatically into the ActZero platform when new IP addresses are detected in ingested syslog data. This automatic integration ensures that network device logs are immediately available for security monitoring and analysis without manual intervention.

Accessing the Network Onboarding Dashboard

  1. In the ActZero Portal, click on the gear icon, and a dropdown menu will appear.

  2. From the dropdown options, select "Onboarding".

  3. Choose "Network" from the right-hand sidebar.

Adding a Network Device

Inputting Network Device Information

Step 1. In the "ADD A NETWORK DEVICE" section, there are several fields to fill out:

  • Vendor: Choose the network device vendor's name from the dropdown list.
  • Name: Assign a unique name or identifier for the network device.
  • Management address: Provide the management IP address for the network device.
  • Notes: Optionally, you can add any relevant notes or details regarding this network device.

Step 2. After entering the required details, click on the "ADD" button to register the network device in the system.

Understanding the Network Device List`

Once a network device is onboarded, it will be listed in the main section of the page. This list is a straightforward way to view and manage all the network devices you've added.

Remember to periodically review and update the list, especially when there are changes in your network infrastructure.

List Columns

  • Name: The name or identifier you've provided for each onboarded network device.
  • Management address: Displays the management IP address of the network device.
  • Vendor: Shows the network device vendor's name.
  • Notes: Any additional details or notes you've added for the network device will appear here.

Managing Network Devices

For each network device in the list, you will find two icons on the right:

  • Pencil Icon: Allows you to modify details of the network device, such as changing its name, IP address, or vendor.

  • Cross (X) Icon: Use this to delete a network device from the system. Exercise caution when using this option, as it will permanently remove the network device and its associated data.




⚠️ For your security, always log out of the ActZero portal using the SIGN OUT button in the top right corner after completing your tasks.
